Alex had 21 points after 6 rounds only, winning all 6 rounds.  Before last round started we find out that no one can catch me in points. Alan Millhone had 16 points at this time. Referee, Roger Blaine kindly offered me a prize, title and proposed to finish event and let other 10 players to make a nice pairing.  I accepted this offer and left earlier. Many thanks to director and everyone who attended. I had a wonderful time, though - not much competition. In 3 draws which I made in 12 games, I think I missed a win on one or two occasions. Regards, Alex (posted on ACF Forum 8/27/06

Alex Moiseyev is crowned District 6 Champion (his first District 6 Title) and replaces Alan Millhone who won it in 2005.

Playoff for Indiana title:  Bullington beat Goddard, Bucker beat Bullington, and Goddard beat Bucker in single games of GAYP, leaving a tie.  Honor Points were then used to award title to Goddard.

We played as one group because of the low turnout this year but also the two highest placing players with ACF rating below 1800 received, $30.00 (Neil Wenberg) and $25.00 (shared by Goddard, Bullington & Bucker) all tied with 13 points. Total of $255.00 Cash Prize.

We had a wonderful party for Gayle and Maxine Helterbrand Saturday night at the Golden Corral Steak House.  It was their 62nd wedding anniversary and Maxine’s birthday too.  Congratulations!  Roger Blaine - text from ACF Forum
